Michael Nevins is the founder of Kick & Snare LLC, a consultancy specializing in media, music, and technology. With a career spanning over two decades, Michael combines deep expertise in marketing, communications, and tech innovation with a lifelong passion for music.

 

Michael has held leadership roles at Music AI / Moises.AI, Equativ, and GroupM (WPP), where he built a reputation for solving complex challenges and driving growth. As VP of Marketing & Communications at Music.AI, he helped position the company as a leader in AI-driven music technology, serving artists, producers, and industry professionals. At Equativ, a global ad tech leader, Michael served as CMO, guiding the company through three acquisitions, two private equity recapitalizations, and a valuation leap from €37MM to over €300MM. Under his leadership, Equativ achieved record growth, tripling revenues in three years and reaching $100MM in net recurring revenue in 2022.

 

Beyond his corporate achievements, Michael’s creative roots run deep. He’s a drummer, songwriter, and former artist manager for two-time Grammy-winning band Living Colour.
